My Bio
When I was in high school, a friend once told me that if I ever stopped drawing, a bolt of lightning would strike me. So, I've decided to not tempt fate.
While I love drawing, I have been focusing on creating soft sculpture Dragons, Faeries, and other fantasy creatures for the past 25 years. I don't use a pattern for any of them, each piece is unique. Each piece is also nearly completely hand sewn. This is a part time hobby, so it takes me a long time to complete each one. I keep hoping to make enough to take to an art show in the next year or so. Most of the photos of my work are pre-digital, but as soon as I have some digital pics of my recent creations I will post them on my page.

Favourite style of art: Impressionist, realist, really good cartooning/CGI

New Dragon Finished!

After nearly three years of life, the universe, and everything getting in the way, I finally finished a dragon commission that my very patient client waited over two years for! Granted, it had some design challenges - bicolor on the wings, claws at the "thumb" joint of the wings, ans a crest that had to be created by hand because the perfect feather boa was about 10x to large. The feathers had to be teased apart and cut down, and after about 4 different failed design attempts, wound into little bundles like tying fly lures for flyfishing, then sewn into a small black boa and sewn onto the dragon. But, it's done, and a real charmer! Pics will be posted in the gallery.

After too long, I'm finally creating again. This one is a two-color commission, based on the "Wings of Fire" book series. Black starfield all over, except under the wings. This is my second time trying to do bi-color, although it's a much easier bi-c...

Starting new Big Dragon Project
This time, a Red and Black asian-inspired dragon. Similar size to the Ginormous Bronze, but no wings. Trying to determine whether or not to make a movable jaw on this one. This will be the Display dragon for art shows. Also working on Smaller creatures for an art show in January" Unicorns, smaller dragons of various sized. I'll post pictures of progress on the big one, and the little ones when they are finished.
